Kewsound Recording Facilities

Kewsound is now up and fully functional on the recording side, using a state of the art multi-track digital equipment. Shown are some of the shots of our control room and studios, more details will be added later, so keep coming back.... ! Some photos of the recent recording visit by The band "Everything we left behind" recording session, (plus a plug for them via clicking on the name which has a link to their site).   The drum pic is taken in studio#2, the "small" studio (we call it the Ambient room) which, unlike the name (or the photo) implies, is not actually small as we have had several 5 piece bands in there rehearsing before now!   It's just smaller than our BIG studio#1!

A couple of shots of our setup - 16 simultaneous inputs, 14 outputs on the hardware end. The DAW is SONAR producer 8.5.3 which has no limit on the number of seperate tracks, each track also being capable of multiple takes, and enough EQ, compression and plug in effects to confuse anyone!

And a couple of screen shots from the DAW Software (used on a 26" monitor):

The contol room looks straight into studio#2 plus has a side window (not shown) which looks into the "Bass room".

And just for completeness here is a shot of studio#1:

All the studios and control room are linked by a CCTV system so that even in different rooms a band recording can all see each other, while being as acoustically seperated as they wish.  There's about another 8 or 10 feet in length (don't sue us Mr EU regs)... er... 3 metres behind the camera shot.    The picture shows just some of Kewsound's own large range of equipment
